Attendance Policy    2024-2025

• Students will be counted tardy AM if they arrive between 8:10 and 8:45 am
• Students will be counted absent Period 1 if they arrive after 8:45 am
• Students will be counted tardy PM if they leave between 2:15 and 3:10 pm
• Students will be counted absent Period 2 if they leave before 2:15 pm
• Any absence of less than 3 hours will be counted absent 1/2 day
• Any absence of more than 3 hours will be counted as absent full day
• Arrive or Leave for the day between the hours of 11:10 am - 12:10 am will be a full day absence (students will have missed 3 hours of school)

**Parents or legal guardians are expected to call our attendance line 913-993-3388 or email sloanejunge@smsd.org to report daily absences, late arrivals or early dismissals. 

If a call is not received, we will attempt to call home to locate the absent student.  If no contact is made within 48 hours, the absence will be counted as unexcused.
